Beijing again

As close as Tianjin is to Beijing, there is still a pretty large gap in terms of development. Going to Beijing from Tianjin, Lizzy and I felt like the two country mice going into the city. Here we are in front of this amazing five star Hyatt in Beijing

The purpose of our trip was to pick up my new Australian passport, which was so impressive! They make passports this days with a chip embedded in the middle of the passport so that you can scan it and it has all my personal ID information - super cool! But to make a day trip of it, Lizzy and I went and ate at Outback

Unfortunately, Lizzy's been suffering from diarrhea, so I just ordered her a lemonade

After Outback, we passed through this amazing new mall. It was so impressive, I couldn't believe it - all these really nice stores and restaurants

Zhao Bin Shu Shu

Daddy likes Zhao Bin because he plays X Box with him...

Lizzy adores our friend Zhao Bin, and when we had a video game night, she couldn't tear herself away from the action. I blame myself for any therapy sessions in the future that may result from my daughter watching Halo 2.

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, we invited the Moms from Lizzy's preschool over for a brunch. Chinese preschools usually consist of 30 kids per class. Needless to say, I was a bit worried about the number that might turn out. Fortunately, it was the ideal number, around 10 Mom showed up with their kids, so it was a full house!

The Moms all sat in the living room and enjoyed some time together

while the kids played with all the toys



We're so glad to open our home up to our friends and share our toys. We all had a great time.

Crazy driver

I mentioned in a previous post how Hayden is super good at driving this toy car we have. Here he is driving it - he's going to be a crazy driver!

Oscar & Toby

Lizzy doesn't have too many boy-friends here. Here are the Nash boys, Oscar and Toby. They came over and played with us last night. Lizzy had a blast with them.
