All decked out

in the armor of God.

Lizzy has been learning the armor of God at school, and each week they made a different piece of the armor. Today, they invited us to a special even called "Celebration of Learning" which was a chance for the parents to come see what the kids have been learning this year. Here are the kids wearing their armors of God and singing the song.

I love the way the sword of the Spirit is placed...

my little soldier for the Lord!

The Armor of God

It's a work in progress.

Pick up your Bible and find out what the rest of the Armor of God is!

the Wu boys

When we were in Beijing for a doctor's visit, we saw some old friends. The Wu's have two boys, ages 1 and 3, as well as a cat. Hayden, unlike Lizzy who's typically terrified of animals, loved playing with the cat, as well as the boys. I was really surprised because normally he is quite reserved in other people's homes. He opened up to the boys right away and had a blast playing. Yes, Joshua IS a whole year older than Hayden but they are the same height.

Remember Sophie?

Remember Sophie? Lizzy's longtime friend who is a year younger. they've known each other since they were 1 year old and baby. Sophie and her family has moved away from Tianjin but come back to visit from time to time. They both remember each other.

Lizzy and Sophie have both become jie jie (big sister) to little brothers: Hayden and Matthew, who are only 3 months apart in age.

It was a bit hard to get 2 two year old boys to cooperate for a picture. They, of course, are too busy to actually play with each other. Hayden is quite a bit taller even though he is only 3 months older. If you met Matthew's parents you'd know why though... :) Hehe, hope the Walmsleys don't visit my blog!

Happy Mother's Day

Making breakfast for Mom.
It rained the whole day here. In Lizzy's words, "Why did God make rain on Mother's day?"

Favorite things

This is one of my favorite pictures from our Kunming trip. It has some of my favorite things: Lizzy and a big bowl of noodle soup!
